On a school trip. At the time, this felt long and easy, but not overly thrilling (indeed less so than the trek over from the Snowdon Ranger YH to Llanberis the day before). Which might show, judging by the opinion of others, that - although young and callow - I probably was a reasonable judge of a route!

Well over 20 years after that before I climbed another mountain...
