Chris I MUST stop reading your reports in the middle of my workday, it does terrible things to my productivity to be dreaming of hopping on the next flight to Canada. Which may be all I accomplish for this next hour or so :D

It's a truly amazing corner of the world you've found there, HighlandSC and I can't wait to come see it for ourselves... one day!

Thanks Michelle, I swear the areas I have been to so far are nothing compared to what is out here, it is truly spectacular. Get HSC in the car and have a long road trip picking up Stretch on the way and stopping of at likely US hiking spots too (Yellowstone?), when you get here we'll have a WH North America meet up at my place  :D

Scotland's been home for a lot longer... just been really missing the motherland (and mum!) since I started reading your reports! Haven't seen any bears on the mainland since I was a kid but saw a few on Vancouver Island a few years back :D (wasn't quick enough to get a (better, close up) pic of those we saw at the side of the landrover track)

Amazing stuff Chris

I haven't been around here much lately (too busy watching the Tour de France!) but I'm glad I caught this one. Looks pretty steep in places but what payback for a 6 hour walk.

Thanks JK, I've never seen it over this side of the Rockies but I think they get a bit on the west coast, I've still not been over there yet :D

At least you don't need bear spray up there Fi, that's a lovely photo with the wing showing the banking of the plane looking down on the beach bears.
I'm in here trying the same, (fine photo from my Mrs) but alas no bears :(

Thanks Alastair, this is a spectacular view over such a huge body of water. I've been enjoying the Tour myself and waving my Wiggins flag as I do
