Walla and Bleaberry

As I have the pleasure of living locally , I am able to undertake the Wainrights in smaller chunks and today decided to go up Walla and Bleaberry and descend the same way.
I usually like to make some sort of circuit, but its really not advisable to go off the path on Bleaberry as its atrociously boggy, and the heather is a killer... (Night naving on this patch is not fun!!! But good training for ML ...)
The walk up to Walla is stunning and easily accessible to all, and for such an easy ascent you are afforded some of the fine views of Derwent and the lakes. Then the obvious track up to Bleaberry is well trodden and surprisingly dry even after our wonderful summer, reach this summit and the views are some of the best in the lakes. Even on a hazy day we could see to Dumfriesshire, Penrith, South Lakes and of course spectacular views of Helvelyn and Blencathra. The fine day saw plenty of other users but a slightly later ascent saw us on the top on our own and a gentle bimble down ended in a fine pint and pie in one of Keswicks fine establishments.
