Table Mountain is a South African Munro! Good weather, though a strong wind and some cloud on top. We were in town for the British Lions tour and had had been waiting to climb this for a few days, but the tops had been obliterated by cloud.

I went via Platteklipp Gorge and muggers alley. Ally Young bottled out he said due to monster hangover, but really because of the danger issue. Set off at fast pace to avoid any problems and kept a close eye towards the top as the muggers tend to prey on the tired. Its a stunning gorge with fractured stone faces on either side, and quite a lot of water. Great views of Cape Town itself and Robben Island. Managed to beat the others going up by cable car, by about 30 mins!

Photos when I can find them.
