Swirl how in the wind

Another great day out in the lakes this time the southern fells. Weather was windy and changeable low cloud, rain and gusting winds, but still a very enjoyable walk. Her is the route and a few images

That is a fair old leg stretcher Chris and not in the best of conditions either by the looks of things, though the photos show you managed to get some dry breaks :D

Yes it was a good old walk to say I've had three weeks of on my hols. Weather was not as expected but it was still a very enjoyable walk. Ticked off a few as well :D

I remember one time I was up on Swirl How and the wind measured 102mph... i was literally being knocked over with every gust and had to crawl back down the ridge! It certainly seems to get the wind up there! - it must be that it is the first real hills off the sea??

That is a fair old hike Peter and some really nice "moody" pics there as well!!! :D
