This walk was done on a cold November day. The day had the promise of some sun shine but like they say about Cumbrian weather if it's not raining it has either just stopped or is about to begin.
Never the less the trip itself is a good linear walk. In the summer months a bus runs from Patterdale up over Kirkstone to Ambleside.
From the rear of the Kirkstone Inn we are climbing right from the off, the path is straight forward you more or less follow the wall all the way to Stony Cove pike, a short detour to the Atkinson memorial is worth the 100meters or so, then it's down to Threshthwaite Mouth and up via the very rocky path to the Beacon and onward to High Street, from here we head towards Angle Tarn and on to Boredale Hause. From the Hause we can see our final destination Glenridding.
A good QMD (quality mountain day
