Day 3 - a sort of "rest" day. Others in our party were doing Aira Force and Gowbarrow, so I though we'd head to the same start and then head around to Sheffield Pike via Dockray and the Glencoyne Valley.

A cloudy start again - but lifting as we progressed. We lunched below Swinside Knott with panoramic views of Ullswater. After lunch we headed off along the path that traverses around the head of the Glencoyne valley - one of those paths that you can't see on the fell side ahead for ages, and keep looking to figure out where it goes.

Coffee stop on Sheffield Pike - clearly not one of Wainwrights favourites from the now ritual reading by one of our group. Back down to Glenridding for a quick cream tea, although the keen folk (me included) bag Glenridding Dodd and catch up just in time to order.
