Second walk of week in Keswick.
Set of from the A66 at Scales round the end of Scales Fell heading towards Sharp Edge.
- Path leading towards Sharp Edge.
- View along the A 66 towards the Pennines.
Crossed over the stream from Scales Tarn and carried on up the valley with Sharp Edge on the left.

Carried on up to the head of the valley, then swung right to head up to Bannerdale top.

From the top headed to second pile of stones then left following the top of the crags and up to Bowscale Fell.
- Bowscale shelter.
After a brief stop headed NE for about 600 metres then down the grassy hillside towards Bowscale Tarn then onto the track leading down to Bowscale where Angie was now waiting for me.
