Started from Stone Ends just north of Mosedale on a path going diagonal up the side of Carrock Fell, soon the gradient lessened and the top came into view.

From the summit cairn the broad ridge to High Pike comes into view.

A stroll in glorious conditions soon gains High Pike.

After a short stop it's time to head South then SW over Great Lingy Hill towards Iron Crag then little Lingy Hill, (this section is heather bashing and bog avoiding) then pick up a faint path up onto Knott.

As you can see the weather now was perfect.

From the top I headed east then NE towards the Lingy Hut.

From there I headed SE down the valley following the River Caldew to my pick up point.
