Set out from the end of the minor road in Cwm Cywarch up the valley under the impressive Craig Cywarch 780m (2559’) in good conditions. From the top of the col a short, sharp climb brought the summit ridge to hand and then it was a pleasant walk up to the summit of Glasgwm. We then retraced our steps to the col and then took the path along the ridge to Aran Fawddwy 905m (2969’). These two summits really do lend themselves to being tackled together in my view, rather than being done separately as recommended in some guidebooks. Paul Hannon’s book “The High Peaks of England and Wales” describes a particularly good route combining these peaks. 8.5 miles/ 13.5 Kms and 1010m /3313’. :D :D :D
