This is just a short report from the small Atlantic island of Porto Santo. The island is very small having an area of only 40 sq km, but it has plenty of charm and was once the home of Christopher Columbus.Porto Santo belongs to Portugal and is about 35 miles from Madeira. The weather wasn't very kind whilst I was there but I enjoyed it spending time exploring on foot.

I wasn't expecting to find those columns, they were very impressive. At the time i only had one of those APS cameras so didn't capture the whole thing. The columns go up a lot higher than what you can see in the picture.
