Starting from Llyn Ogwen car park, I decided, rather than a long steep scramble up the north face, to go for the slightly easier route along the heather terrace path. This turned out to be quite hard work itself, being very rocky and with a few scrambly bits.

The path goes round the side of the mountain to the Far South Peak, from which there's a fairly short scramble up to the summit.

There was no way I was going to climb on top of one of those rocks, let alone jump from one to the other, I just managed to crawl up high enough so that some part of my body was above the top of he rocks,so I can claim to have bagged the summit.
This made the experience slightly disappointing. I usually get a sense of victory on reaching a summit, but this felt more like a draw.
I then went down o Bwlch Tryfan and across onto the ridge which joins Glyder Fawr with Y Foel Goch.

After the drama of Tryfan it was a relief to just have to walk over boggy grass to get to the next two summits.

From the top of Gallt yr Ogof a very narrow path goes down the hillside to a camp site, from which it's about a mile along a byway back to the car park.
