From Matterdale old Church allong rd to end allong path beside wallto start of open access land through gate and across valley bottom up The Nab to west of stream eventually picking up old peat track then across peat haggs to path on ridge allong path to summit The Nab return allong path and over saddle and up Rest Dodd follow lip of valley around and over Beda Fell down to seat then take path back to church.
