Binsey and catbells were walked after the blencathra round .Not much to be said about binsey apart from don't park by the farm as this will bring out the farmer and plenty of expletives!! Catbells is a different story altogether. The path is a well trodden one and for good reason!! The walk is not to hard but the views to be had over the lake and back to keswick and blencathra and into the jaws of borrowdale are superb, but over the back into the newlands flood plain is truly one of the most beautiful aspects i have ever seen in this country let alone the lakes. It may of been we caught it just right as the sun was just dipping behind the fells to the west, but it is a must see and you won't be disappointed.

Latrigg is directly opposite catbells, the other side of keswick, and can be parked at almost. We did this on the morning of our next day in 50 mph wind with untold amount of rain the lake district strikes back!! I imagine the views to be just as good as catbells but in the other direction! needless to say the rest of the day was spent in the gear, cake, tea and beer shops with a quick trip to the slate mine for some door numbers for home.
