A rather dreary day to say the least, but better in the Lakes than it was on the East side of the country. Not a whole lot of photo opportunities to begin with as mist and low cloud were the order of the day.

As the hours ticked by and I got further into the walk the clouds lifted a little to reveal some of the surrounding landscape and the route that I had already taken. At one point I even caught a glimpse of some blue sky and a shaft of sunlight.

I think I'll need to revisit some of these hills in the future as I probably missed out on what they have to offer in good weather.
