Whinlatter Round

Like the previous day Friday started with a very misty (and windy) 1st top, Whinlatter, so much so that I did not even get the camera out. When I'd parked the car 45 minutes or so previously there was plenty of blue sky and a few shafts of sunlight poking out, I was just keeping my fingers crossed that they would burn through the cloud and mist that was enveloping Whinlatter.

Having dropped down from the top of Whinlatter heading roughly north east and passed through the wooded areas and forestry tracks I crossed the path, or at least bog :-?, between the Eastern side of Lord's Seat and Barf, having reached the top I was finally rewarded with some views and the promise of some better weather.

These are by no means my favorite hills in the Lakes, I much prefer to feel like I am in the middle of somewhere looking in every direction, rather than at the edge of looking into. That being said it was still an enjoyable walk, in what turned out to be glorious late autumn sunshine.
