From Thackthwaite to Brumston Bridge and it was time for the last walk of the day to take in Sale Fell and Ling Fell.

Sale Fell first and whilst I have nothing against either of these hills I would rather not have the A66 as a backdrop, beggars I suppose can't be choosers as the saying goes and I suppose the road was there a long time before I was! it was a quick shuffle up and some nice views of Skiddaw to the East.

Then back down and another quick (ish by this point) pull up to the top of Ling Fell with very similar views.

I got back to the car and headed over to Ambleside where I was staying for the night to have a well deserved pint!
