Gowbarrow Fell, Glenridding Dodd

A beautiful hot day for three short walks to Eastern Fells above Ullswater.

Steep going up to Glenridding Dodd (sensible people do this alongside Sheffield Pike, I think...) but a very nice couple of miles, especially down through the Mossdale woods, no longer pathless but quite testing through fallen trees.

Then a circuit of Gowbarrow Fell, its waterfalls, and the fine terrace path above Ullswater.

And quite a pleasant grassy 15 minutes straight up and down Little Mell Fell from The Hause. Not worth a long detour but nice enough if on route anyway.
