Long summer afternoon in the Western Fells, starting with a couple of hours in the Low Fell range. The main hill here is lovely, out on the edge of the lakes, although the surrounds are rougher and less exciting.

Then up and down the north ridge of Hen Comb - damp trudge on an unremarkable fell other than a really difficult river crossing (done twice and proving boots a lot more waterproof than imagined). And enough energy left for the very steep but very fine climb to Mellbreak's north top before traversing the ridge and the shore of Crummock Water with some great views.
