Melbreak and Hen Comb

It was a lovely sunny September morning so I decided to tackle Melbreak and Hen Comb.

Set off late Morning and parked just over the bridge next to the Kirkstile Inn.



Walked along the road toward Melbreak, before heading out onto the fells and up Melbreak itself.





Then wandered along the top of Melbreak; taking in both peaks before coming back on myself and heading down toward Hen Comb.







Crossed the beck and then started the climb to Hen Comb summit; and a rest!







Then walked back along the length of the fell and back down to the foot of Melbreak, before following the same path back to the car.

It was absolutely red hot! We have definitely had a late summer bloom! Ha ha, he is mine.. always charges off in front!
