Warm but very hazy and another testing day, this time of tricky steep paths and bog-hopping. Castle Crag (a 200th Wainwright and my last North-Western) and Grange Fell (last Central) are beautiful little hills, if a shame that the long views over Derwent Water and Borrowdale were lost in mist. In between, to the least tempting part of the Central ridge (perhaps once and once only...). From Watendlath to High Tove was okay, but from there to Armboth Fell, especially outbound - lost in mist and fruitlessly taking a circular route to avoid the worst ground, terribly wet and rough.
