svinjak aka matterhorn of bovec
there he is, overlooking bovec, looking intimidating.
the truth is that yep, this is a rather steep mountain however a little disappointing is the fact that 90% of time the path takes us thru the forest and we have no views! only occasionally we managed to catch a glimpse of mighty alps around.
walking time? as per guide book 5 hrs, as per note on the gate at the foot of mountain 3.5hrs. both overoptimistic!

although we can see surrounding us mountains only occasionally, when we finally see something, it is marvellous!

Hi 'blueyed'

I'm hoping to visit Triglav National Park next September, your pictures have made me want to go that much more! Did you rent a car, and if so is the driving easy enough over there? How is the drive from Ljubljana to Bled, and are the starting points easy to find with decent parking?

Cheers

Lovely shots Blueyed, you might have been in forest for a long time but when the views did appear they were stunning and obviously worth the wait

Very nice indeed.
However I don't like "comparing", these photos do remind me of Norway. Why, I wouldn't know.
