You certainly get some awesome material to work with Chris 8)
The brilliant spectrum of red to yellow and everything in between is dazzeling :!:
Quite incredible how the Pondarosa Pines manage to cling to life, and indeed thrive judging by their stature in such a seemingly barron environment :!:
Another stunning report and photos

Thanks Ancancha, I think I get two 'holidays of a lifetime' a year and spend the rest of my time in living a place people visit as a 'holiday of a lifetime' ....I know how lucky I am  I love the desert states and always try to find my way there at least once a year

Thanks David, I've been fortunate to see so many spectacular places, I've actually got my eye on the north east of the US as I've never hiked there at all...maybe I'll come and see the northern reaches of the Appalachian Trail

What amazing photos - brilliant photography in an otherworldly location.

When we are in Utah we din't get to Bryce Canyon (we did Arches and the Moab area, then on down through Monument Valley into Arizona). We'd have got to Bryce if we had had just one more day in our itinerary.

Never mind - good reason to get back there again!

Cheers HMHT, it's always good to have an excuse to go back. Bryce is a bit out of the way but well worth the trip
