Grasmoor and Friends.

Got up early for a good session in the hills. We made our way towards Buttermere and parked alongside Crummock Water. We took a gentle stroll along the road and then started the climb up Whiteside.

After it seemed like we had been climbing forever, we appeared at the top of Whiteside; true to form we were also in a cloud.

Not perturbed we wandered across the ridge to Hopegill head, before turning and heading down before beginning the climb to Eel Crag (Crag Hill)

Because of the ice patches which were still on the ground I decided we would change our route for safety. We headed up Grasmoor first, before coming back down the way we came and heading up Eel Crag via the easier route as opposed to scrambling up the Crag.

From Eel Crag we walked over to Wandope; and then dog on lead as we walked over Whiteless Edge and onto Whiteless Pike.

We then descended back into the valley, picking up the route over the top of Rannerdale knots; descending on the other side and back along the road to the car.

Tired feet; and tired dog!

Lovely shots of a good round ADT, it's like two different worlds between top and bottom  I have to say it looked bloody freezing at the top
