Another two of Wainwright's 'Walks in Limestone Country'.

A return to Pen-y-Ghent, this time from the popular side. Well-built paths, but testing enough in the last climb. The potholes are well worth a short detour.

And Smearsett Scar, an attractive and very steep limestone prominence amid the green fields. Wainwright's ascent route is now discouraged, largely on private land.
