After completing Coniston old Man,Brim Fell and Dow Crag I met up with my wife and kids in Coniston to head to Tarn Hows.We only did the little walk sticking to the main path but the scenery is excellent having good views to the Coniston Hills and the Langdale Pikes.
The main path around Tarn Hows is suitable for everyone and is a good introduction to walking for little legs.

Very impressed that you managed to take some pictures without any people in them.

If you like Tarn Hows with fewer crowds, try High Dam, a lesser known wooded lake, behind Finsthwaite at the south end of Windermere. Some nice little rocky tops around it as well.
