Doing the Dodds

Parked up at High Brow, again nice and early so no one around. Walked along the road to Dowthwaitehead, and then through and up onto the fellside. Followed the path along a wall leading up to Birkett Fell, and then over onto Hart Side.

From here followed the path along and up to Stybarrow Dodd. The weather was absolutely atrocious but what do we expect for November in the lakes!!

From Stybarrow I found my way through the clag to Watsons Dodd, and then back up to Great Dodd.

Feet were hurting from a pair of new boots (need more breaking in) so decided to head down across Matterdale Common and back to the car.

Not bad for a November trek! More to come!

A murky wander there ADT, strange thing about new boots - sometimes they just slip right on with no problem at all and sometimes they seem to never quite 'bed in'
