Y Mynydd Du (The Black Mountain - 'range').

Following on from my yomp over the Brecon Beacons 4 days prior, I found the motivation to plod my way over this smaller walk. It was also a less interesting walk, although you could credit it for historical and cultural interest. This was Welsh mining landscape: the 'Black Mountain Range', which I have learned is not the same thing as the 'Black Mountains' or indeed the 'Black Mountain' (singular). The latter are both in the eastern sector of the Brecon Beacons national park, near Hay-on-Wye. The 'Black Mountain' (which was not one of today's) is sometimes called 'Black Hill'. I hope that is clear. Today's effort comprised the 2 most westerly of the park's Hewitts, which is to say in the Black Mountain Range. This brings my total of Wales in Winter Hewitts to 6, out of 137. There was more of a nip in the air today, but the walk was pretty easy and uneventful, a straight-forward out and back.

Good stuff TEA, what a wonderfully desolate place, I suspect it's less than busy most days....just my kind of spot
