I was working at a School in Clitheroe Friday morning but the rest of the day was mine and with the weather relatively fine it seemed daft to not do something on Pendle - a hill I like to get up at least once a year which has lots to offer and many routes and paths.

Fine weather throughout in the Ribble Valley despite it looking murky elsewhere. Light winds and warm for the time of the year.

Pendle Hill in view. Quite wet in parts on this bit of the ridge but nothing too bad or unavoidable

Scout Cairn - Ribble Valley enjoying the best of the weather again as it often does when I climb Pendle!

Approaching the Trig - great weather!

After dropping down to Buttock I followed the bridleway along Pendle's Eastern flank

Before taking on the classic, steep route up Big End. Never too bad as the path is stepped generously.
