Finished work at about half two on a glorious Friday afternoon and decided it was too nice to sit indoors so grabbed the pooch and headed to the Langdales. We parked up at the cattle grid just off Blea Tarn and threw on the new boots.

After walking under the shadow of Side Pike we started the ascent and headed straight for the top of Lingmoor.

Despite the glorious sunshine, we had a slight welcome breeze which made the conditions perfect.

After reaching the top we dropped down to Lingmoor Tarn as a change to just walking straight back.

On return leg we passed through Fat Mans Gap (or whatever its called and climbed to summit of Side Pike where I captured a great pic of the Langdales before dropping back to the car.

We were done in less than 2 hrs and had a pint in the Wainwrights on the way home.

I liked Side Pike but didn't really think much to Lingmoor Fell... made the summit in record time though - was being chased all the way by a wasp!

Love that second to last pic! Very dramatic!

It's a pretty quick one and only just worthy of being classifed as a Wainwright.
My missus would love it though as she'd easily cope with the ascent and the views are great on a decent day.
The second to last and last pics are being blown up and thrown on a wall at home .. quite proud of them !!
