I started this walk from the Ventura Shopping centre which is on the main road between Esquinzo and Morro Jable. The streets leading behind this shopping centre eventually lead to a path/minor road which is signposted for Pico de la Zarza.
The walk itself is a long out and back with the only steeper sections on the final ascent. For the most part it is a gradual climb but effort is still required due to the heat.
On the day I climbed the best views where on the way up and on descent. When I topped out I was in thick cloud but that was refreshing after the heat from earlier.
It is well worth doing if you are ever in this area and made a change from relaxing next to the pool with beer in hand.

The summit, which if wasn't in cloud would be scary due to a 2000ft drop on the other side.
