This was a very difficult and long walk for the fact I extended it to walk back to Morro Jable due to very little options for public transport. I started where I got the taxi to drop me off which was at the cemetery near the entrance to Gran Valle. Taxi's will take you no further due to it turning into a dirt road. There is an option to use a 4WD taxi which is a large Unimog vehicle but the times did not fit in with what I had planned. That 4WD taxi runs from Morro Jable to El Puertito and then to Cofete.

The walk itself is very long, starting by heading up Gran Valle on a well defined path to a mountain pass where you have views over both sides of Fuerteventura. Then descend to Cofete which is a very small and remote village with a small cafe. I then followed a dirt road heading to another mountain pass near the peak of Degollada de Agua Oveja. Then follow the road down to the other coast to meet the GR131. I basically followed this all the way back to Morro Jable which was a long walk in itself. This tough walk was made harder with it being cloudless and extremely hot but I made it back to Morro Jable alive.......just.
