Hello everyone, two visits to the peaks last week, on wednesday me and hubby walked a round from Derbyshire Bridge in the Goyt Valley, taking in Axe Edge, Cheeks Hill (Staffs County Top) and Whetstone Ridge, according to Satmap it was 13.3km, quite misty at first but cleared for some great views later. Then on the Saturday the gang went to Hathersage for an 11 miler, hopefully on this Saturday we are aiming for Pavey Ark and Jack's Rake, weather permitting, stay safe, Sue :D

Hi,Pavey Ark is one of the Langdale Pikes (Lake District) at 700m and overlooks Stickle Tarn, Jacks Rake is the hardest way up and cuts across from the base to about 10 o'clock, a good site to see the Wainwrights is www.stridingedge.net where you can bring up each mountain and the authors walks, great for routes and a nice man as well. :)
