Working Saturday morning and wanted to be home for the Utd game so stayed local.

Quite a strange walk as an access note lower down suggested some of the moor was closed - so I stuck to the right of way over Fiendsdale Head - the Bleasdale side being less dramatic and less beautiful than the wilder Fiendsdale side.

As it happened I once again saw the sign on the way back and realised the dates for the closure had passed so finished my planned walk.

Quite pleasant after a very wet morning with some sunshine but utterly soaking underfoot.

3 Looking back at F Nab.JPG
Fiendsdale Nab looks very much it's own fell from here but runs into Fiendsdale Head behind it. I turned around here.

Looking back up to Fiendsdale Head - love this area

The narrow path here was like a stream after all the recent rain - deep in places as well

The weather had really improved now so I took my usual route back up this gill to the high ground on Hazelhurst Fell
