High Vinnalls

From Forestry Commission car park to the north west. Followed the Vinnalls Loop, a waymarked trail. Up in 20 minutes, down in 15 minutes with 10 minutes on the top. No real view because of the low cloud and rain. Summit is by a bench.

Titterstone Clee Hill

Done in strong wind and driving rain from the viewpoint at the quarry workings. The cloud was so thick that the air traffic control radars could only be seen occasionally. Followed the Shropshire Way up and down to the summit. No views. 15 minutes up and 5 down.

Brown Clee Hill

Climbed after our Titterstone Clee Hill ascent. From the layby on the minor road between Cleobury North and Hillside opposite the start to the marked Forest Trail. There is room for plenty of cars there. Pleasant path up to a forestry track which was briefly followed before a right turn through a gate. Another path then winds its way up eventually meeting the metalled road that leads to the summit transmitters.

The viewfinder loomed in the cloud on the left as we approached the transmitter compound, the transmitters not being visible until we were about 30m away such was the thickness of the cloud. Being a county highpoint the view should be expansive, but not today. At least the rain from earlier in the day had stopped. We went the 150m north to the other side of the compound to find the heathery mound that marks the true summit. Back the same way. 45 minutes up and 35 minutes down with 10 minutes on the top.
