Cat Bells at last

I came to Keswick years ago and wanted to climb Cat Bells but never got around to it.
Today I fixed that, and had a very easy climb in good weather.
I took my husband but he only made it a third of the way up, due to vertigo! He sat and waited and I made it up to the top and back to him in an hour. It took a total of 2 hours including a lunch stop!
There is a bit of scrambling involved - especially at the summit where hands are essential and I put away the poles and camera... so no pics of the really rocky bit.
I'll add some pictures.....

Nice photos. A great little hill and a fine viewpoint. That column / view indicator on the summit is new to me - it wasn't there on 1/4/17! :o

Nice report and pics on a good day for a walk. Like dav the last time I was on Cat Bells in 2017 there was nothing new to adorn the summit :? At least it looks the business and fits in well with the rocky top :)

That's interesting! It's nicely built but I'm not keen on the Christmas wreath... not in January anyway!

I think this is a great wee hill. It was the first real hill that my mum and dad took me up. I was about five years old. A couple of years ago I took my own two kids up it and they loved it. Munros they are not too keen on - too long away from Wifi!
