An unsupported Welsh 3000's with DOD. Leave Chesterfeild at midnight and arrive Pen-y-Pass at 3.30am. We are off by 3.45am and reach the first summit of Crib Goch in the mist at about 5am. Weather improves through the day but in the evening - walking over the Carnedds feel like I could fall asleep on my feet. Great views though. Reach the final summit Foel Goch at about 8pm.
But then a long trek back south across the Carnedds (including a reascent of teh second heighest peak) to finally crash out in Willys Barn in Ogwen at almost 11pm.

Bad weather the next day unfortunately as we still hav eto get back to car at Pen-y-pass. A tiring heads-down grind up the miners trach in rain and cloud. It seems to take a while to reach the 750m col. Suddenly a famillar but unwanted sight looms out of the mist - the summit rocks of Glyder Fach !!!!!. Funny in retrospect but not at the time.
