Why both of these hikes should be on your list when you visit Glacier National Park

Glacier NP is in Montana, USA, and is know for its great hiking. A lot of people do the hike to Iceberg lake, but do not hike up to the Ptarmigan tunnel. Both hikes have easy trails, but a little bit of elevation. Iceberg lake awesome, but the glaciers are melting so you might get a better experience if you go early enough in the season. There is a great chance of seeing animals in this area as well. Since you probably have a long drive to get to the parking lot, you might as well do both hikes if you have the legs for it. They start at the same parking, and the trailhead for both hikes is the same for about 5 kilometers. Ptarmigan tunnel takes you through the mountain to a dramatic area on the other side. The walls around you remind you of Helms deep in Lord of the rings, and if you wanted to you could continue to Waterton National Park in Canada from here.

Feel free to check out my video from Glacier NP and the hike to the Ptarmigan tunnel and Iceberg lake to see what it is like :) The part that covers Glacier NP starts 4 minutes and 57 seconds into the video.
