walkhighlands

This board helps you to share your walking route experiences in England and Wales... or overseas.
Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.

With G, Alan, Margaret, Marie, Gertrude, Martin. Drove over Sheefry Pass. Started via Western Way. Great circuit. Parked approx 918696 ie just north of Sheefry Bridge. Entrance to the Western Way. Came down from col W of Point 436. Did not go to Point 742. Ben Gorm looked very attractive. Nobody seemed to know about walking the length of the ridge ie over Point 356. Some access problems on Ben Creaggan side. Up from Aasleagh is the best option apparently. Sean and Damien did a shorter walk - circuit of the valley the western way goes up through.

Met 3 guys from a company doing walks and start gazing.
