Good sunny walk out in the lesser known Yorkshire dales only saw to groups all day, two fell runners and a group of very noisy trainee potholers very interesting walk in places. I bit wet underfoot but nothing a good pair of boots couldn't cope with.

Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.
