Extremely hot and hazy day in the far north of the Lake District, based around Caldbeck, a lovely village. Farmland and easy grassy slopes to and from the good summit of High Pike, a few mining scars, and then Wainwright's minor Outlying walk to Faulds Brow - a slight but roughish moorland rise.
