Ridiculously poor forecast for Sunday but we were heading up there anyway so needed something to do.

Fortunately Wendy hadn't done these two so thought with their relative low height and woodland surroundings they could possibly allow us to escape the worst of the weather and so it proved - staying dry throughout in the North Western corner and avoiding being blown over (just about) on the tops.

This approach to these two - from Bassenthwaite Lake - allows for them to be done in a longer walk and is a better route for doing them in my opinion.

Nearly back in the woods with a nice view of Bass Lake and Skiddaw - a decent beat the weather day accomplished
