We were staying more or less at the foot of Miterdale on the Friday so it seemed a good idea to have a walk through there and up to the screes before dropping down to Burnmoor Tarn and back through Miterdale.

Interesting and new walking for me with a beautiful start. Maybe not the best way to do the actual hills but nice to see an unfamiliar lakeland valley.

Misty on tops and windy but dry and bright also at times.
