Storm force winds and rain forecast for Saturday but there did appear to some brighter weather near Grange over Sands so a walk near there (on much lower, woodland heights) seemed sensible.

Whitbarrow is really nice and the return via Yewbarrow makes a good loop.

Mega windy on top so glad not to be higher and avoided the rain.

Looking along the ridge - after the initial climb you get a really nice ridge walk to the summit

We ended up in the school grounds by mistake on our return route!
