Hi
Never been on a WH meet so couple of questions if that’s ok while I double check my availability.
I’ve completed almost 200 Munro’s, many solo so quite experienced In the hills but would be cautious about talking these remote Munro’s on my own.
Are there groups who have plans for the days that I could link up with? Would be good to have company on these hills.
Thanks in advance

THe beauty of WH meet is that it's an opportunity to meet others and walk together - there are sometimes plans made in advance in the run up to the meet or on the Friday night. Weather-permitting there will likely be groups heading up most of the nearby hills.

Hello everybody - couple of things.

Malky & I will not be coming to this meet. The money side of it should be sorted but it would be useful to have the following:
- someone willing to be point of contact with the Bunkhouse over the weekend
- someone to organise the quiz (if no-one steps forward then there won't be one!)
- there is a small amount of money left over - normally I'd buy a few snacks & quiz prizes. If anyone is willing to take this on, then I can send you the leftover money. If not I'll donate it to MR or the Knoydart Foundation.

Room allocations - there are still some free spaces so encourage people to come along

Room 1 (8 people)
Lynne
Heather
Kerrie

Room 2 (11 people)
Colin
Tommy
Martin B
George
Parminder
Mountain Miscreant
Jim
Darren
M4rtin
Steve M

Room 3 (7 people)
Steve Smith +1
David M
Ryan
Gary

Beware the dreaded WH Meet bug that very often strikes on the Saturday/Sunday mornings!

Hi Jackie, sadly we won't be able to make this meet, Kevin couldn't get any time off in July so I didn't even bother you... I hope you all have lots and lots of fun and fingers crossed we'll be able to attend the autumn meet!

BTW I still have the Walkhighland Meets albums (took them for safekeeping after the last pre-covid meet), would you like me to pass them to you or keep them till the next meet?

Hugs hugs

Fully understand why you aren't joining us Jackie.
Am happy to be the point of contact, will be arriving on Friday afternoon.
It looks like it will be a quizless weekend. Not sure we could make it anyway, as we are planning to tackle Loony Bin & neighbour and then heading to the pub.
As for left over cash, your donation (MR) suggestion sounds like the best option.

Looking forward to this weekend despite the iffy forecast. 3 years in the making thanks Jackie. I’m planning eating at the hostel not sure if anyone else is but if my legs are still working after the walks might go to the pub later or on the way back from one of the hills 😀 maybe the hostel has games! Am there from Thursday so will reccie 😂
