Hello,

I am new to the forum. The WHW has been on my to do / bucket list for quite a while. I've now booked to do the walk next year. 7 days / 8 nights starting Saturday 3rd April 2021. I'm doing the walk on my own and its my first time. If anyone is considering doing the walk on these dates and wants a walking partner, drop me a line. Cheers Henry

Hello

I would be interested but seems like it would be a bit early for me though.

I was considering doing it middle of June as that is when you get most daylight.

I don't have any set dates, I will update if anything changes.

However for now middle of June for me is most likely :)

Hi Aitch74,
In my opinion April is a good time to do the walk, before it gets like Sauchiehall Street on a Saturday afternoon! Also midgies not so fierce then, though weather may be a little unpredictable. I did the walk a few years ago now, you will meet others on the way too, both while walking and wherever you're overnighting. I'm sure you will enjoy it, take photos, keep a wee notebook and relax, after this year we all need to.

Thanks MrsOrr,

That's my thinking re April - a bit quieter and less midges. I'm sure I'll find some company along the way, and your absolutely right on the relaxing bit given this year! Thanks
