Glen shiel South ridge

Glen shiel South ridge

Postby Rekrab » Sun Jun 21, 2009 4:49 pm

hey i'm wanting to organise a walkhighlands meet-up sometime in Aug maybe the last long weekend?

thinking of heading to do the South Glen shiel Ridge. 1 day drive up, 1 day walking the ridge, then sleep, then 1 day drive back?

how's that sound?

MacKenzie,

I'd be up for that although I've done half the ridge. I could meet you halfway!

Could have my arm twisted... I should be eligible for a day pass by then.

Not done the whole South ridge, although I've overlooked the bits I've got left from North, South and East!

I'm keen to do the ridge too but I'm afraid in August I'd get eaten alive! If you decide to postpone it to post-midge/biting thing season, I'd probably come!

I am planning to do the Glen Shiel south ridge on 11th or 12th August. Would welcome someone to go along with. especially from transport point of view (car at each end).
Reply here.

Last weekend in August sounds good to me too if it is still a plan in the making?

And if anyone was looking for a passenger to share petrol costs :)
