Munro Bagging (Novice)

Munro Bagging (Novice)

Postby anthonyph » Mon Jan 04, 2010 7:00 pm

I and my wife started doing a couple of walks and progressed onto our third Munro when she discovered that she was pregnant so my walking partner is out of action for next 9 months or so.

I have only done three Munros but would like to find a walking partner who is keen to do as many Munros in 2010 as possible (weather permitting)

Not that it is important but I live in Callander & willing to meet up with walking partners.

I am relatively fit doing a lot of running so keen to hear from anyone but I am not an experienced hill walker

Looking forward to finding a walking partner for 2010

Thanks

Tony Phillips

Are you just wanting day walks or trips? If you're wanting/allowed out on trips, you could always come on my Glencoe Corbetting trip mid Feb (although it will probably be crampons and ice axes to be safe, especially if this snow keeps up), and then there's the Knoydart trip in April and my potential Shenaval camping trip in May...

Hi there. I go up the hills pretty much every weekend, depending on the weather. I typically drive through Callander so can easily pick you up on route.

I'm staying at my girlfriends parents in Aberfeldy this weekend so won't be passing through, but if you've got a car I could meet you somewhere on Saturday or Sunday? I'm thinking Meall nan Tarmachan beside Ben Lawers, or if the weather is less desirable I'll be nipping up something rounder.
