This board is for meeting up, whether it means arranging group walking trips, or just looking for a partner for your next walk or sharing a lift. There is also a club directory.
Warning Feel free to use this board to arrange to meet up with other walkers, either individually or for a particular walk, or for a larger get together over a weekend. The usual precautions are advised when arranging to meet individuals you have not previously met.

Please note that meetups are NOT arranged by Walkhighlands and everyone who arranges to meet for a walk using this board is responsible for their own safety. Please ensure you do not attempt a walk beyond your own abilities.

chickadee, you will deffinately not be on your own, I promise you as soon as you arrive you will be amongst friends who will make themselves known, mind you I'd take a pen and paper for all the names plus WH names you will never remember them all :lol: :lol: You will have a choice of many companions and walks to chose from, so come along and give it ago :D

What Rod said :D

The meets are a brilliant way of meeting a lot of the names you see here on WH and being able to put names to those faces. As Rod says though, remembering all the names is less easy :lol: A genuinely friendly bunch though, from experienced walkers to less experienced walkers and everything in between, all sharing our common enjoyment of the hills. And what better place than Torridon for you to join in :wink:

Thanks for the kind words guys, I'd like to come, just worry I'll bottle out at the last minute! I know myself quite well for that. I was up in Torrid in May and didn't get walking done, sadly, due to the weather, but it was gorgeous. I sat in my car staring at Slioch for about 40 minutes.

It'd be great to finally put faces to names... is there still room in the hostel? I'm not a solo camper yet, so wouldn't be much use out on my own!
