I would love to attend my first WH Meet, but I'd like to secure transport from Edinburgh and back.
Is anyone driving up from Edinburgh with a spare seat? I'll contibute towards fuel costs.

Our summer meet is 8 weeks away ie. fast approaching!

5 spaces left (bed/shower & breakfast)

A lot of folks are wanting to camp. NB. the hostel wont let you camp on their land and are advising that you camp up near Ardvreck Castle (Midge Heaven ) which is 2-3km's away.

Because I'm a total newbie to all this I think I'll wait until the next one because I probably won't be able to keep up due to lack of proper clothing and equipment. But I'm very interested in meeting up with lots of folk and I'll be keeping a close eye on this

Shelley - I wouldnt worry if you havent got the gear or the fitness. Its a mix bag of a group open to all levels of walker etc.. Assynt has some great wee hills which are very accessible. Let me know if you fancy hooking up.

Hi all Counting days to the meet now!

For campers: Yesterday we drove up A837 past Ardvreck Castle and I had a good look at "camping facilities". The castle car park would take about 10-12 cars and there is enough green grassy terrain to pitch many tents, also a small river (hopefully clean enough to take water from) flowing into the loch. A couple of large laybys a bit up the road as well. But beware of Ardvreck ghosts

Thanks BP for the input on the camping at haunted Ardvreck Castle.

I am pleased to confirm that's all the beds taken. Tommy the good man has gone and booked 4 beds. Didnt know it was legal to have 3 wives in Glasgow

I will confirm room allocations etc closer the time.
